Privacy Policy

CareerLens ("we", "us") is operated by Piotr Zawieja. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what rights you have under GDPR.

What we collect and why

• Email address — to manage your free analysis allowance and credit balance. We do not send marketing email.
• Usage count — how many analyses you have run, to enforce the free tier and deduct purchased credits.
• IP address — temporarily, to prevent abuse (daily rate limiting). We do not store IP addresses beyond the current calendar day.
• Job descriptions and CVs you submit — processed in real time to produce your analysis. We do not store the content of your JD or CV after the analysis is returned.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. When a payment is completed, Stripe notifies us with your email address and the product purchased; we use this only to credit your account.

Third-party services

• Anthropic — your job description and CV text are sent to Anthropic's API to generate the analysis. See Anthropic's privacy policy.
• Stripe — payment processing. See Stripe's privacy policy.

Data retention

Your email address and credit balance are retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time and we will remove your data within 30 days.

Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data; to object to or restrict its processing; and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected].

Legal basis

We process your email address and usage data on the basis of contractual necessity (to deliver the service you signed up for). We process IP addresses on the basis of legitimate interest (preventing abuse of the service).
